Activities for Younger Children and Tips for Parents

Activities

The Mudiad Ysgolion Meithrin Unit

The Mudiad Ysgolion Meithrin (Welsh nursery) unit on the field has face painting, puppet shows, singing and dancing, arts and crafts and professional performers.

S4C, BBC and ITV Wales

The media companies offer a range of activities for younger children. S4C is very child friendly and offers the opportunity to meet popular TV characters - in the flesh! They sometimes go 'walkabout' around the field too.

Chwaraeon (Sports)

Sports are offered every day on the field between 11 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. Enjoy rugby, football, golf, netball, cricket, athletics, trampoline and climbing wall activities.

Gorsedd Ceremonies on the Field

Some druidic ceremonies are held in the open air. The druids walk through the field to the Gorsedd Circle. Watch out for the Archdruid dressed in gold. The Yma i Helpu staff will be able to tell you when the next ceremony will be.

Tips for Parents

Baby Changing

Parent and child amenities are situated around the field wherever there is a toilet block. Please contact the Acen Yma i Helpu staff if you need any help.

Lost Children

Go either to the Heddlu (Police) or get hold of one of the Acen Yma i Helpu staff who will take you straight to the appropriate place and, if necessary, get a search going.

First Aid

The St John’s First Aid centre (Cymorth Cyntaf) is equipped to deal with most situations.

Sun Block

Small packs of sunblock, while stocks last, are available for purchase from the Acen Yma i Helpu staff. St John's also keep a stock for emergencies.
